About Us

We are just a husband and wife team trying to enhance short term rental experiences one guest at a time. With a passion for real estate, investing in rental properties was a given for us. This passion for real estate combined with our love of travel and attention to detail has brought us here. We have stayed in some wonderful bnb’s all over the country and quickly realized all of the factors that make a bnb experience truly memorable.

We believe that EVERY experience should be a 5 star experience! We own and operate both long and short term rental properties and we would love to manage yours.

Melody got her start in real estate by becoming a licenced real estate agent for one of the leading commercial real estate leaders in the country and managing over 30 commercial properties between the St. Louis and Jacksonville area. She runs the Joseph Ellen Properties team in two ways: Running the day to day operations (being the voice of reason with Andrew’s crazy vision), Interior design, property management and the list goes on. Her experience in property management has pushed her to become incredibly efficient and tenacious. In her spare time she is probably coordinating handymen, working out, playing with her kids (two overly energetic terriers), or investing in personal development.

Andrew started renting out his apartments on Airbnb in 2017 after finishing his graduate program. From that point he was hooked on real estate. His expertise in business, marketing, and technology makes him an invaluable asset to our team and partners. Andrew’s mission with Joseph Ellen Properties is to guarantee excellent service and build something truly memorable within the community while ensuring the integrity of Jacksonville. Andrew considers himself an entrepreneur, risk taker, and adventurer. He has a passion for looking at real estate and building something special. Andrew has used his business background to build out the systems and processes we currently use today to ensure our business runs smoothly.
