We loved the Lakefront Retreat. The house is clean & spacious. Very welcoming. It has everything you need. We brought our boat & did some fishing. Lake Santa Fe is a beautiful lake. Our dogs loved the huge yard. It was nice and peaceful in the cove. Lots of wildlife to take it too. Melrose is a nice laid back town with some nice eateries. The Brooklyn Boys restaurant is a close drive (7miles) to Keystone Heights. Great authentic Italian food. We also drove to Hawthorne (about 20mins away) to eat at the historic restaurant The Yearling at Cross Creek. Great food, restaurant & memorabilia from the author of Cross Creek, Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. You can also visit Marjorie’s historic state park. We enjoyed our stay & hope to come back again soon.
